Wow, try to find any picture coming out of the Southern Republican Leadership Conference that wouldn’t double as a narcoleptic.
As a narcoleptic, I take serious offense to Michael Shaw’s anti-narcoleptic statement. My worst weekends are better than any SRLC conference. And I had a pretty damn good weekend this weekend.
I think the media obsession with constantly handicapping prospective nominees for the party that doesn’t hold the presidency is ridiculous. At this point in the pre-2008 election cycle (early 2006) Obama was a long shot candidate. It was Hillary Clinton’s nomination to lose and John Edwards best chance to be Democratic party nominee. Handicapping the horse race before you know the horses is just futile.
