NJ Education Association head wishes for Gov. Christie’s death

Standard

Christie is cutting school budgets, that makes him enough of a villain in the eyes of many without having to resort to ham-fisted cruel humor like this:

A memo released by the New Jersey Education Association, New Jersey’s state teachers’ union contained this “prayer”:

Dear Lord: This year you have taken away my favorite actor, Patrick Swayze, my favorite actress, Farrah Fawcett, my favorite singer, Michael Jackson, and my favorite salesman, Billy Mays … I just wanted to let you know that Chris Christie is my favorite governor.

NJEA President Barbara Keshishian has apologized, awkwardly, to Christie: “Language such as that has no place in civil discourse. It was intended as humor, but it’s not funny.”

This is a dumb, politically tone deaf move. Keshishian should know better.
